Anti-corrosion protection on internal surfaces
Corrosion is a serious threat to the oil and gas industry’s assets. Faced with this challenge, the use of corrosion inhibitors is one of the most cost-effective and efficient methods for protecting components prone to corrosion.
In the case of wells and pipelines, internal corrosion is caused by factors such as temperature, presence of carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and flow conditions.
To help service providers face this challenge, Oxiteno developed the ULTROIL® CI corrosion inhibitor range.
It consists of intermediate products that form a film that protects the metal surface against corrosion-causing compounds. The ULTROIL® CI 3155 solution provides corrosion protection on internal surfaces, maintaining the integrity of metallic materials used in hydrocarbon transport and storage. The level of alkoxylation of these products can be selected to drive interactions between the intermediaries, the surface of the piping, and the fluids, streamlining the protective effect of corrosion inhibition.
The robust product line has both water and oil soluble inhibitors and includes the following benefits:
- Suitable for sour (H2S) and sweet (CO2) corrosion;
- Outstanding film-forming properties;
- Contains high content of assets (> 98%);
- High tolerance to the presence of electrolytes;
