Portfolio Management

For Oxiteno, sustainability is a journey that has a beginning with no end. Generating value for everyone, it is our strategy to ensure the continuity of the business and leave a legacy for society. Being sustainable is to think, plan, innovate, and act responsibly to do good through chemistry.

"Product Portfolio" is one of Oxiteno's pillars and it’s our ambition to develop solutions aligned with the needs of society. Partnership with customers is one component, in which, we can positively impact the society. This includes the responsible management of Oxiteno’s product portfolio.

Oxiteno uses the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology to support the development of more sustainable solutions by quantifying the environmental impacts of our products. Understanding the Life Cycle from the extraction of its raw materials through processing, use, and disposal will help identify at which stage of the process the environmental impacts are more intense and propose modifications to improve them.

The company has also developed its own methodology for Sustainable Product Portfolio Management to identify the degree of sustainability of the portfolio by managing or even discontinuing products that do not comply with predetermined minimum requirements.
