Financial contribution to MPI to manufacture masks for healthcare facilities
Oxiteno is committed to fight COVID-19 pandemic ensuring the supply of vital products needed for well-being of the communities where it operates. Oxiteno collaborated financially with the Mississippi Polymer Institute (MPI) for the local manufacture of protective masks to healthcare facilities in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The institute is the non-profit industrial outreach located at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Accelerator, where Oxiteno’s US R&D center is co-located. To date, over 1,900 masks were provided to healthcare workers in the area and more units are under production. “Through the kind thoughtfulness and generosity of Oxiteno, we were able to deliver “Hub Masks” specifically to three area elder care facilities. Elder care facilities are one of the hardest hit facilities in Mississippi, and undoubtedly Oxiteno’s contribution is making a difference. We can’t thank you enough,” says Monica Tisack, MPI director.
